Beth A. Medina, MS, LMHC

Founding Board Member

​Beth A. Medina, MS, LMHC is a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor and is the owner/operator of the psychotherapy practice of Beth A. Wombough, MS, LMHC, PA in Jacksonville, Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Furman University and her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. 

Ms. Medina has been a therapist since 1997 and a trauma counselor since 2001, when she was initially trained in EMDR.  Today, she is certified in both Brainspotting and EMDR and is a Certified Brainspotting Consultant.  She is a life-long learner and continually updates her skills with advanced training in areas that enhance her clinical skills.

Her passion is to help others get past emotional blocks, traumatic events, bad relationships, regrettable mistakes, and anything else stopping them from having the life they desire. 

In addition to serving as the Southeast Brainspotting Institute's Board's secretary, she hold an officer position at The Performers Academy – – An innovative 501(c)(3) performing arts education and development program in Jacksonville, Florida. 
 
Ms. Medina believes every therapist should be trained in a clinically sound psychotherapy model that supports the client/therapist partnership, celebrates the client's ability to heal, and provides outstanding clinical outcomes.  Helping to spread the word about Brainspotting is a deep commitment Ms. Medina and the entire SEBI Board shares.
