    Taryn Peterson, LMFT

    Secretary

Originally from Oregon, Taryn made Middle Tennessee home over two decades ago. Licensed in Tennessee as a Marriage and Family Therapist, she received her Bachelor of Arts from Belmont University and her Master of Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University. Taryn was trained first in EMDR, and then discovered Brainspotting. She has completed training in Phases 1, 2, and 4, as well as Brainspotting with Children and Adolescents and is now in the process of becoming a certified Brainspotter.

Taryn is in private practice in Brentwood, Tennessee, but spends most of her time as Lead Therapist for Lantern Lane Farm, a 501(c)(3) counseling center located on a horse farm in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. In addition to Brainspotting, she also incorporates methods such as Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, Narrative Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy in her practice. Taryn is exploring ways to use horses in the Brainspotting process, particularly with young clients. She is passionate about the hope and healing clients experience through the Brainspotting process.

Taryn counsels adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She considers it an honor to walk alongside hurting people as they face trauma, grief, anxiety, addiction, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and other challenges.
